Exodus 13:17 NIV
When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”

God can read their mind. The route to red sea was pkanned by God.

The oak said it was tired of life and determine to die because it was not tall and beautiful like the pine tree. The pine was troubled because it could not bear grapes like the grapevine. The grapevine was determine to throw it's life away because it could not stand erect and produce fruit as larger as peaches.

The fear factor

Luke 1:17 NIV
And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

Do not be afraid.

Luke 1:13 NIV
But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.

Luke 1:30 NIV
But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.

Matthew 1:20 NIV
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 43. 2.

Isaiah 43:2 NIV
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

God will never remove obstacles. But he will assist in passing through it.

Genesis.15. Abraham faith

Genesis 15:2 NIV
But Abram said, “Sovereign Lord , what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?”

At one hand Abraham was childless,  then God promised him the offspring as many as stars.

Genesis 15:5 NIV
He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

If this happen today, I must said God you are crazy. I am 100 years old now and going to have the children as many as stars. You kidding me God.

The Sarai tempted Abraham by giving him Hagar. I would believe Abraham also did not have 100% faith at time.

Genesis 16:3 NIV
So after Abram had been living in Canaan ten years, Sarai his wife took her Egyptian slave Hagar and gave her to her husband to be his wife.

Ten years of waiting. Tested Abraham faith with God promise.

Genesis 16:2 NIV
so she said to Abram, “The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave; perhaps I can build a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

Genesis 1. Jesus

Ezekiel 41. Upward

Ezekiel 41:7 NIV
The side rooms all around the temple were wider at each successive level. The structure surrounding the temple was built in ascending stages, so that the rooms widened as one went upward. A stairway went up from the lowest floor to the top floor through the middle floor.

We should never be content to rest in the mist of the valley  when the summit of Mount tabor awaits us.

Aspire  to a higher ,  a nobler,  and a fuller life. Upward to heaven. Nearer to God.

Genesis 1 and 2. Design

Things work well when they function according to the design.

Genesis 1:1 NIV
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God. The designer of the heaven and earth.

Heavens. Plural. There are more than one heaven ?

Genesis 2:20 NIV
So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.

Eve  was design as helper to Adam.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

1 Corinthians 11:3 NIV
But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

Ephesians 2:10 NIV
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

By God's  design,  I am the head of the family.
By God's  design,  I am wonderful
By God's design,  I am fearful
By God's design,  I am faithful
By God's design,  I am obedient
By God's design,  I am eternal
By God's design,  i am good
By God design,  I am life
By God's design , I am multiply
By God's design,  I am prosper
By God's design,  I am going through persecution
By God's design, but am bearing fruit

Deuteronomy 11. Mountain and valley

Deuteronomy 11:11 NIV
But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven.

Land of mountain and valley. Up and down.

If life were always smooth and level,  the boring sameness would weigh us down. By  Cowman

God never said that this is the  land,  zit back and relax.

This is very encouraging. Life will never be easy all  the time. God make sure we are not bore to death.

Jesus  did not preach in synagogu8e  but walk around in the market place to share the story and teaching.

Favor of God.

Why God choose Mary?
1,  she trusted God. Conviction
2,  faith beyond fear
3,  faith take risk.

Genesis 41. Seven.cows

Genesis 41:26-27 NIV
The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven years; it is one and the same dream. The seven lean, ugly cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind: They are seven years of famine.

Seven is the completion.

End time. 4 thousands years BC  and 2 thousands  Post BC  and one thousands years in hell. Total 7 thousands years.

Genesis 40. Joseph interpret dream

Genesis 40:9-11 NIV
So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. He said to him, “In my dream I saw a vine in front of me, and on the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters ripened into grapes. Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh’s cup and put the cup in his hand.”

Joseph  interpret the dream.

Genesis 40:12-13 NIV
“This is what it means,” Joseph said to him. “The three branches are three days. Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand, just as you used to do when you were his cupbearer.

Genesis 39, Joseph

Genesis 39:2 NIV
The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.

God was with Joseph  and whatever he did  will success. Even IN Prison Also he was blessed.

Genesis 39:23 NIV
The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.

Genesis 38, Judah

This chapter a bit messy. Brother slept with brother wife. Father slept with daughter  in law.

Genesis 38:9-10 NIV
But Onan knew that the child would not be his; so whenever he slept with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from providing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked in the Lord ’s sight; so the Lord put him to death also.

Why God consider Onan as wicked?  You are suppose to sleep with your btot b we wife  after he pass away?

Genesis 38:15-16 NIV
When Judah saw her, he thought she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face. Not realizing that she was his daughter-in-law, he went over to her by the roadside and said, “Come now, let me sleep with you.” “And what will you give me to sleep with you?” she asked.

Judah slept with his daughter in law thought that she was a prostitute. So prostitution exist back then. Is prostitution not wicked?  Why God did not punish Judah?

Genesis 37, Joseph sold

Genesis 37:7 NIV
We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.”

Joseph got 2 dreams where his brothers  bow to him. Second dream basically world bow to him.

Genesis 37:9 NIV
Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Then the next moment he was sold to Egypt. Imagine  putting yourself in Joseph shoes. I dreamt about everyone bow down to me then the actually  happen I have sold to foreign country as slave. It is contracdic. What would you fell? Strange right?

Genesis 37:28 NIV
So when the Midianite merchants came by, his brothers pulled Joseph up out of the cistern and sold him for twenty shekels of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt.
